Dr. Sreeni Gangasani is from Hyderabad, India. He attended Kurnool Medical College of University of Health Sciences. He won scholastic gold medals during medical school. He was awarded National Merit Scholarship from Government of India.Dr. Gangasani (Dr. G) completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases from William Beaumont Hospital, an affiliate of University of Michigan and Wayne State University in Royal Oak, Michigan. During the residency he was recognized as outstanding resident.
He served as the Chief of the Department of Medicine at Gwinnett Health System from 2009 to 2011 and was previously Vice Chief of Department of Medicine. Dr. Gangasani was the President and Chairman of Board of trustees of GAPI (Georgia Association of Physicians of Indian Heritage). Under his leadership as President of GAPI, the organization opened a volunteer clinic to serve the health needs of those that are uninsured and underinsured of Metro Atlanta. He has been serving as the director of the GAPI Volunteer clinic since its inception. He regularly participates in local health fairs in US and India and serves on the board of directors of SAI Health Fair, Inc. He currently serves as Board of trustees of American Association of Physicians of Indian origin, (AAPI).
He served as Board of Directors of the Gwinnett Medical Center Foundation and Secretary of APNA (Andhra Pradesh Physicians and Professionals of North America) Chair of IMG section of Medical association of Georgia. He was awarded the Circle of Hope award for compassion in Medicine in 2012 and 2017.
Dr. Gangasani’s interests include clinical cardiology, Cardiac Catheterization, Pacemaker Implantation, Echocardiography and Heart Failure.
Dr. Gangasani is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography Nuclear Cardiology and Heart Failure & Transplantation.
He sees patients at Lawrenceville, Buford, Duluth, Hamilton Mill and Suwanee offices.
