We're Passionate About Fresh Matcha, so we source the highest quality tea leaves (tencha) from Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, the center of tencha cultivation in the world. Our matcha mill is one of a handful of authentic matcha mills in the country, and we mill fresh, ceremonial-grade matcha every day. Consequently, our matcha is incredibly smooth and creamy, free of bitterness and astringency. Japanese tencha (base tea leaves) are picked in Uji in early spring, which is known to be a high-quality tencha-growing region.
