Roxicodone is the brand name for oxycodone hydrochloride. With the chemical name 4, 5-epoxy-14-hydroxy-3-methoxy-17 methylmorphinan-6-one hydrochloride, it is a semi-synthetic opioid analgesic that is generated from thebaine, an opium alkaloid.

Oxycodone hydrochloride is the active ingredient in Roxicodone, an oral administration tablet available in strengths of 5mg, 15mg, or 30mg. Stearic acid and microcrystalline cellulose are found inactively in 5mg Oxycodone tablets. Corn starch, lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, sodium starch glycolate, D&C Yellow No. 10 (in 15mg pills), and FD&C Blue No. 2 are included in the inactive ingredients of the Roxicodone tablets in the 15mg and 30mg strengths (in 15 mg and 30 mg tablets).
