Hi there, my name is Alysia and I’m the founder of Tends To Tails. I am a fully licensed, bonded, and insured pet care specialist with certifications in CPR and First Aid for dogs and cats.
Tends To Tails offers a variety of pet care services, including dog walking, pet sitting, pet care drop-in visits, small breed dog boarding, wedding day pet chauffeur, and longer trail hikes on weekends for those dogs who have as much energy as I do.
With over 35 years of experience in the pet industry, I’ve taken professional care of all kinds of pets. I’ve even raised dogs, cats, birds, fish, hamsters, and rabbits of my own!
Devoting time to animals has always been a passion of mine. I’ve volunteered to work at local rescues and farm sanctuaries throughout Illinois over the years to expand my knowledge. Now, I want to use what I’ve learned to help others, which is why I started Tends To Tails.
I worked my “tail” off to get this business off the ground. I’ve received many reviews from clients who were exceptionally happy with my work. I am able to be successful by treating every client with dignity and respect and of course always caring for their pets like my own.
Aside from taking care of pets, I enjoy fitness and as a dog walker I’m lucky to have the opportunity to combine my passion for fitness and pet care with dog walks. I also enjoy reading and allocate time to read every day. Through books and online courses I have the perfect opportunity to read more about pet care and the benefits of daily walks, socialization, behavior, and health.
I truly believe there’s always more we can learn about our pets behavior. Right now, I’m learning as much as I can about animal behavior. Being able to understand what our pets are trying to tell us is incredibly valuable. Not only does it make easier to raise pets, but it can also deepen the bond between the owner and pet.
